What Happened to Sabrina Navaretta:
The 19 years old initially from Woodbury, New York, was killed in a fender bender close to UD's grounds the evening of April 28, as per the Newark Police Division. The accident resulted in injuries to five more people. According to her LinkedIn profile, Navaretta was an honors student at UD and was majoring in business management.
In a university-wide email sent the day after Navaretta's death, UD President Dennis Assanis wrote, "As we collectively mourn the loss of a fellow student, please know we are all here for each other as a UD community." Representatives from Student Life met with Navaretta's sorority members and the students who live in her residence hall, and he stated that the university is working to provide more support for students.
On April 28, a number of UD students and parents posted on Facebook that Navaretta was on her way home from Airband, a dance competition held at the conclusion of UD's Greek Week. "A whip-smart delight," they wrote. One woman who attended the competition commented that she had performed Cinderella and "did amazing."
Navaretta joined Phi Sigma this spring, where her sorority said she "had an enduring effect on (the) sisterhood and in the existences of (her) individual sisters. On Instagram, the sorority wrote, "Her friendship and infectious spirit will be greatly missed."
As indicated by family companions, Navaretta adored investing energy in the water, particularly drifting and fly skiing. "Never (had) a typical teenage girl attitude that you so often see," she said, "was also close with her parents."
As a kid, she was "a whip-shrewd enjoyment," as indicated by instructors and other people who knew her since early on. Numerous social media users claimed that she became a "beautiful" young woman after playing soccer as a child. In secondary school, she played volleyball and was shown how to lifeguard. Her mom said she adored the Syosset Secondary School's course. She additionally had two kin.

On Friday Navaretta will be laid to rest in private in Syosset, New York. On Thursday, her family held a visitation at a funeral home in the same town.
